The contracts offered by the ALC Marrakesh usually allow visiting teachers to live comfortably during their stay in Morocco.

EFL Teaching Positions at The American Language Center (ALC) in Marrakesh

The ALC Marrakesh is a member of the American Cultural Association, a private, non-profit association with 10 language centers located in Morocco.

Full-time, EFL teaching positions October 1, 2010 until June 31, 2011 (9 months)

A full-time position entails 19 contact hours per week (children, adolescent and adult classes).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-  Native speaker of English with U.S., Canadian or British citizenship
-  B.A. + CELTA (or an equivalent certificate)
-  At least one year of overseas, full-time EFL teaching experience

SALARY & BENEFITS
-  145 MAD per hour for 19 teaching hours a week per session (fall, winter and spring) approximately 9524 MAD/1154 USD (USD subject to change according to currency exchange rates) net take-home pay
-  10,000 MAD travel reimbursement, half at start date of the contract and half upon completion
-  1200 MAD a month housing stipend
-  ALC Medical Plan which reimburses 80% of doctors’ visits, prescribed medicines, and basic dental work
-  50% per 12-month period up to a ceiling of 2200 MAD of fees actually paid to a gym, fitness club, swimming pool, etc.
-  Twenty hours of survival Moroccan Arabic (or French) taught at the ALC
-  Airport pickup, two weeks hotel accommodation upon arrival, assistance finding housing, 1-2 weeks vacation between each session
